Ralph Thornton Centre was a project of the well-known Toronto architect E.J. Lennox (designer of Old City Hall and Casa Loma and St. Paul’s Anglican Church) Designed as a federal building, its original use was as Postal Station ‘G’ (1913-1975) though it was also used to house Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers.
